Postural gymnastics

Postural gymnastics is based on specific active exercises that aim to correct bad habits, wrong positions that are assumed in everyday life (in the car, at work, even while sleeping) and which in the long run can cause visible imbalances of the musculoskeletal system. Usually, most of those who approach postural gymnastics do so only after they are diagnosed with a problem, such as hyperlordosis, scoliosis, neck pain or other posture defects.

Postural re-education starts from the observation of the individual from both a structural and functional point of view: in this way you will have important information to set up an active path  with the aim of improving the quality of life also in people  suffering from musculoskeletal problems.

The final purpose is to guide the person in resuming or maintaining physical activity, which is essential for the health of one's body, facilitating a harmonious execution of normal daily movements.

This type of re-education has a very important role for the prevention of painful pictures, the recovery of muscle and joint function, in cases of neck pain, back pain, herniated disc, pubalgia and in all postural alterations typical of the developmental age such as scoliosis. and dorsal hyperkyphosis.

The postural gymnastics courses can be of the rehabilitative type, with the possibility of carrying out Individual Motor Rehabilitation sessions with the Physiotherapist , otherwise, if there are no contraindications evaluated by the team of professionals, the Postural Pilates course can be started .

Postural Pilates

The Pilates method is a training system that aims to improve functionality and increase the fluidity and precision of movements by trying to strengthen the body as well as shape it. It is an exceptional discipline for physical exercise: it stretches and strengthens muscles, improves elasticity, balance, breathing, posture and alignment .

Pilates aims to strengthen the center of the body through the use of the abdominal muscles and deep muscles. The specific work carried out on the central part of the body, i.e. on the abdominal, dorsal and lumbar regions, make this method particularly suitable for those who need to improve posture and rebalance the loads on the spine. 136bad5cf58d_ It also promotes concentration and progressively improves the general level of awareness, coordination and alignment.

It takes its name from Joseph Pilates, who in the first half of the 20th century developed it and fine-tuned the discipline using it to rehabilitate war veterans and train dancers and athletes.

It consists of a wide range of exercises to be performed both free body and with the help of small tools or machines designed by Pilates itself.
Each exercise is repeated a few times compared to the long repetitions of other types of training, but it must be performed with great precision and with conscious breathing.

It was in fact the belief of Pilates that "a little movement well planned and executed with precision, in a balanced sequence, has the same value of hours of forced and roughly executed contortions".

Pilates has been used, since its conception, for rehabilitation or as a training method and, thanks to the quantity and diversity of the exercises available, it can be adapted to the problems and abilities of each one.
